Anthony "Tony" Allen Sanders

Anthony “Tony” Allen Sanders joined his Lord and Savior on December 11, 2020. He was born in Amarillo, Texas to Ruel Ernest and Frankie “June” VanKirk Sanders. Tony graduated from Tascosa High School in 1981 and earned a certificate of welding from TSTI. He worked in retail for most of his life, the last nine years for Walmart. He married the love of his life Rosie in 1984 and they spent 28 loving and fun years together until her passing in 2012. Tony thought he was a rock star when he played his electric guitar and loved listening to music and dancing with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and loved helping his family and friends. He enjoyed riding his scooter with his furbaby Lola as they were inseparable until his passing. Anthony’s goal in life was raising his son Bryan and hoped he would become a grandfather one day.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rosie.

Left to cherish his memory are his son Bryan Sanders; Stepchildren Juana Gallegos, Isabel Sewell and Keno Gallegos; Sister Karen Bull and husband David of Amarillo, and two brothers Randy Sanders and wife Celeste of Amarillo and Tracy Sanders of Amarillo.
