She was born in Amarillo, Texas on August 29, 1930 to Cresenciano and Julia Garcia.
Angela was a selfless Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. She had a strong faith in God and was respected by family and all who knew her. Family members would come to her for advice, knowing she would give the straight truth even if it was hard to take. Angela led a selfless life, always sacrificing to provide for her 6 children after her husband’s death.
As a young teenager, Angela lied about her age to get a job before she was old enough to work. She got the job helping to support her family. This selfless act created confusion about her age throughout her life. She was always a committed employee, who took pride in everything she did. Her work ethics were recognized by colleagues and acknowledged by the many accolades she was awarded. She loved her career at Pantex and eventually retired after many years of dedicated service. Angie loved working so much that after retiring at 65, she continued to work part time until her mid 80’s.
Besides always thinking of her family, she loved her nightly phone calls with sister Ruby, dancing, Mariachi music, and crocheting blankets for every member of the family. In her final bed ridden days, you could find her watching Little House on Prairie over and over.
Angela is survived by her sons Eddie and wife Mary, Arthur and wife Lydia, Johnny and wife Melissa, Tino and wife Rosa, Henry and wife Denise and her daughter Jean along with eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
