She is preceded in death by her parents Leroy Tyson and Lillian Wilhoite, her husband of 52 years, Clay (Gene) Crawford and her sons William and David Crawford and daughter-in-law Pat Crawford. She is survived by her children Steve Crawford Sr Orlando, Tom Crawford (Linda) Chuluota, Dan Crawford Gloversville, NY, Pam Coop (Bruce) Casselberry and Rene Crawford Hollister, FL, and her 15 wonderful grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews!
She spent most of her life in Lexington, Kentucky where she met her husband Gene. In 1952, they moved to Sanford, Florida. Later when they moved to Winter Park, Florida they started their business, Crawford Sheet Metal. Reeda took care of the secretarial and bookkeeping portion of the business.
She became a dispatcher for Killarney Vol. Fire Dept. in Winter Park, Florida when Gene became Asst. Chief. Reeda was a cub scout and girl scout leader. Also, was an Edgewater High School Band Booster. In the 1980's she became a realtor. She later retired from Miller Hardware after working there 25 years.
Kau'i Brandt, from the Polynesian Resort, was a neighbor who taught Rene and Reeda how to perform various hula and Polynesian dances. She performed in several places in Orlando.
Reeda loved to work in the yard when she was able to, enjoyed watching the butterflies, even getting butterfly plants to attract them from Steve and Pat, and she loved to bird watch. To help her identify the birds she would use her binoculars and bird identification book.
