Martha Kononchuk

Martha was born on December 22, 1928, in Inkster, Michigan, to Frank & Clara Konkoleski. She first met her husband, Walter, working as a collision agent at AAA, and it was love at first sight. They would become husband and wife and be married for almost 67 years. During their 67 years of marriage, they had three children Richard Kononchuk (Nancy), Cathleen Kononchuk, Jill Gay (Riggs), four grandchildren, Richard Kononchuk II (Megan), Natasha Kononchuk, Megan Gay (Scott), and John Gay, and four great-grandchildren, Alexis Espada, Jaden Kononchuk, Easton Kononchuk, and Karter Kononchuk.

Martha’s greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family. She loved to reminisce about family trips and adventures she had been on in her lifetime. She was a spitfire who knew how to command a room but make everyone feel comfortable simultaneously. Her family and friends hold so many memories of love and laughter with her. We know she is up in heaven, reconnecting with other loved ones and finally reuniting with her other half, Walter.

A graveside service for Martha will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703.
