Imadell Carr, age 91 passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020. In 1928, Imadell "Irene" Carr was born to Oklahoma pioneers, Jesse and Josie Williams. With her first husband, MSgt. Fred Davis, she lived on their five acre farm in Lawton, OK and eventually settled in Casselberry, FL. After his death, she married Richard Carr. Known for kindness and generosity, she grew roses and gave them to friends, neighbors, and co-workers. She became known as, "The Rose Lady." A member of Daughters of the Nile, Irene was also known for her charity work, and served as Queen. Irene died peacefully in her sleep, content. She is survived by her daughter, Vashti Ataya (author of the "OVERCOMING" series), granddaughters Shannon Brown of Arizona, and Christena Reese of North Carolina, and eight great grandchildren.
