Dear Tom, Margaret and Mary -
Tom and I were so sad to hear of your dad's death in November - it must have come right after I saw him at Maria O'Leary's wake, when he looked so hale and hardy. We missed hearing about it until this evening when we got together with the Mullens and other neighbors or we would certainly have come to his service. Your mom and dad were dear friends and part of what made our old block such a wonderful place to live. We feel privileged to have have know them both.

Dear Tom, Mary, Margaret & Family, I was very sorry to hear about your dad.  I will remember him as someone who always treated everyone who worked for him with kindness and respect.  He was a great mentor, a good friend, and had a wonderful sense of humor.  I was happy to hear that he lived a good life until the age of 94. I am sorry that I could not be there today, but I wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers today.  With love, Andrea
