1982 – 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jamel Brundidge of Bronx/New York, a beloved son, brother, partner, friend, and mentor, who left this world on December 23, 2024.
Jamel was born on February 16th, 1982, to Janice Doiley and Alvin Brundidge in Bronx, New York.
After graduating Nassau Community College, Jamel landed his first job as a Coach for Wellness in Schools, kicking off a career in coaching.
Jamel had an extraordinary passion for life and was a beacon of faith, kindness, and selflessness. His love for basketball and football was unmatched, and he found immense joy not only in the games themselves but in the connections they fostered. Whether playing, coaching, or cheering from the sidelines, Jamel embraced the spirit of sportsmanship.
Jamel was also a cherished friend whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and supported, always lending a listening ear or a helping hand. His friendships were deep and meaningful, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Above all, Jamel had an unshakable faith in the Lord, God our Savior. His life was a testament to his beliefs, as he walked humbly in faith and strived to live according to God’s teachings. He found strength, purpose, and peace in his relationship with Christ and shared this faith through his actions and words.
Jamel was predeceased by his father, Alvin Brundidge and his brother Adam Brundidge Foreman. Jamel is survived by his mother, Janice Doiley, his older brothers Troy (Letty) Doiley and Christopher Doiley, as well as two nieces and one nephew.
While we mourn his absence, we celebrate the legacy of love, joy, and inspiration he leaves behind.
