Wayne David Corbit, 67, of Little Rock, AR, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2024, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born on February 11, 1957, Wayne was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, known for his vibrant spirit and love for life.
Wayne was an avid handyman with a passion for hunting treasures in unexpected places and could often be found tinkering in his workshop or excitedly sharing his latest bargain finds with family and friends. He loved fishing and cherished every moment spent with everyone, as he never met a stranger and could warm up to anyone no matter the circumstances. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janise Wolfe; his sons, Joseph (Hannah) and Johnathan (Chris); and two sisters, Bonnie Beal and Brenda Brown; and four grandchildren: Hunter, Shelby, Sophia, and Sadie; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly.
Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ruthel Lee Corbit, who inspired him with her own love for yard sales and creativity throughout her life, as well as his father, Frank Corbit Sr., and his brother, Frank Corbit Jr. Wayne’s legacy of kindness, resourcefulness, and the ability to find beauty in the simple things will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home in Alexander, to honor Wayne's life and the love he shared with everyone around him. In honor of Wayne’s life, his family encourages all to continue seeking out their own bargains and treasures, just as he did, and to cherish the moments spent with loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that those who wish to honor Wayne's memory consider donating to a charity that is meaningful to them. Your thoughtful contributions will be greatly appreciated and will help keep Wayne's spirit alive in the hearts of many.
