Vicki Sue (Basnett) Rogers, 77, was reunited in Heaven with Robert Bryant Rogers, her husband of 59 years, on March 3, 2022. True to nature, they were only separated for a short time, and their family takes great comfort knowing they will never be apart again.
Those closest to Vicki and Bob—lovingly known as “Gaga” and “Papa” to their grandkids—will always remember and seek to emulate their iconic love for each other. Even if they were just sitting at the dinner table, passing time in a waiting room, or strolling back to their car, they were always hand in hand, with eyes smiling at one another.
Vicki’s love of great music provided the soundtrack to their time together as well as to their visits with family and friends at their always-welcoming home. Whether she and Bob were watching the Gulf waves from their deck or riding the waves of life, she always had the perfect song playing in the background.
Her legacy is the comfort, security, beauty, hospitality, and heart of everything that means “home”; the unrivaled love she shared with her husband; her steadfast devotion to the Lord, which she quietly carried out through ministry at church and in her daily life; and her loving adoration of each member of her family.
Born to Al and Sarah Elizabeth Basnett on June 27, 1944, Vicki leaves behind many cherished family members who will carry her love and spirit in their hearts forever: Daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Kurt Peters of Benton; grandson, Nicholas Bryant Peters, and his wife, Heather, of Benton; granddaughter Lindsey Peters and her husband, Andrew Rindahl, of Little Rock; and granddaughter Erin Peters of Bauxite; sister, Connie (Bob) McNees of Greenwood, Arkansas, and their beloved family, which includes Casey (Heath) Jones, Christopher McNees, and Megan (Scott) Bailey, and many other beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will gather privately and no other services will be held.
