Roy William Atkins, 78, of Little Rock passed away Monday, July 20, 2020. Roy was born on June 6, 1942 in Little Rock, the son of Claude and Audrey Atkins. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. Roy was a Pipefitter and welder. He was a former member of Rock Creek Baptist Church of Little Rock, a member of Free & Accepted Masons Congo Lodge 743, and the Benton Gun Club. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing.
Roy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two sons, Mickey Shane Atkins of Sweetwater, Texas, and James Atkins and his wife Regina of Little Rock, two grandchildren Tessa Noel, and Renee Gabriella Atkins, and his sister Betty Battie of Fayetteville AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Barbara Hall.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Pinecrest Funeral Home in Alexander; from 10:30 am-12:30 pm, with funeral services beginning at 1pm in Pinecrest Memorial Park at the gazebo. The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Roy’s honor to the charity of your choice.
