Bob married Mary Helen Denton on July 5th, 1955, and they lived happily together for almost 60 years before she passed away in March 2015. Bob joined the army and honorably served in Germany 1958-1960. He is survived by his 4 children: Randy, Kristi (Greg), Steve (Kathy), and Jon (Wendy); 13 grandchildren: Brittany, Brianna, Anthony, Jackson, Laighton, Sophie, Jessi, Jane, Jill, Amanda, Kaylee, Nicole, Nick; and 5 great grandchildren: Carter, Ila, Leah, Wyatt, and Cairo, and his sister Willie Faye Mahan.
Bob was a successful banker and serial entrepreneur who loved to travel, fish, watch old western TV shows and spend time with his grandkids. He would always say that he and Mary “were two hicks from the sticks who saw the world together.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Cleo, his wife, Mary, and his great grandchild, Gabriel.
