Patsy met Glen Ellis in Magnolia, AR, they married on June 12, 1965, lived in Jacksonville and Little Rock for a short while, and eventually moved to Bryant in 1972 to raise their children. Patsy’s biggest thrill was her kids’ and grandkids’ visits especially during the holidays and the holiday meals. Today, her kids use her turkey dressing recipe and her no-bake chocolate cookie recipe (which have been shared with friends and coworkers for decades). For many years, Patsy attended Hot Springs High School reunions with her life-long friends Lou, Barbara, and Virginia (deceased).
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years Glen Burl Ellis. She was also preceded by her brothers and sisters Margarette Ellen Rhoden, Charles Aubrey Rhoden, Helen Louise Rhoden Burnette, and Clyde Rhoden. Patsy is survived by her son Charles Glen Ellis (Diana) of Parker, CO and grandchildren Grant of Lubbock, TX and Vivian of Brooklyn, NY; her daughter Katherine Irene Leslie (Darin) and grandson Griffin of Benton, AR; and her daughter Patricia Glenda Stewart of Bryant, AR. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Glen’s twin sister, Gloria Ellis Lewis of Dallas, TX.
A graveside for Patsy will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 10201 Highway 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas. Following the graveside will be a reception at 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, Arkansas 72002.
