Granna Katy Grogan, age 78, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. She was born on November 20, 1945, in Pasadena, California to the late John and Lana Tally. Granna had a deep passion for lighthouses and was known for her extensive collection. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Granna Katy, known fondly as the kindest and sweetest angel, touched the lives of all who knew her with her selflessness and unwavering love. Every Sunday after church, her family cherished their time dining out together, a tradition she held dear. Granna Katy's dedication was unmatched; she proudly began her career at Farmers Mutual of Bryant at just 18 years old, faithfully serving there for over 40 years. Despite her accomplishments, she remained humble, never seeking assistance to avoid inconveniencing others. Above all, she treasured her role as a grandmother, finding immense joy and pride in her grandchildren. Granna Katy's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will forever be remembered and cherished by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Those left to cherish her memory includes her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Calvin "Grumpy" Grogan; children, Calvin Grogan (Sarah "April") and Kerri Rowell (Steve); grandchildren, Lauren Grogan, Jessup Grogan (Morgan), Laena Grogan, Kaleb Rowell, and Eryn Rowell.
A memorial service for Katy will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at LifeSpring Church of God, 3916 Silica Heights, Benton, Arkansas 72015.
