Genevieve Elizabeth Hunter Chaney passed away December 31st, 2019 at the age of 93. Born October 4th, 1926 in the Manchester community of Arkadelphia in Clark County, Arkansas to Robert Homer Hunter and Elzie Stumon Hunter. She graduated from Arkadelphia High School and was of the Methodist faith. She was a bookkeeper and retired in 1991 from Mountaire Corp. After retiring she enjoyed many bus trips with her sister Ruth and spending time with her family.
Dementia hit around 2016. She then lived with her daughter until moving to The House of 3 in Sheridan, Arkansas in July of 2018. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Emily Lawson and the staff at the House of 3 for their excellent care.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Paul F. Chaney Jr., her sisters Annie Ruth Smith, Martha Louise King, and Carolyn Hunter.
She is survived by her children, Margaret (Charles) Chaney Clements, and Robert A. (Deborah) Chaney, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sisters Bobbie Sheets, Betsy (Jack) Sharp, Linda (Glen) Daniels, and brother Kenneth Hunter.
