Carolyn Jean Talley was born February 25, 1934 to George Eugene Carroll and Viola Ophelia Rowland Carroll.
She left this earth on June 12, 2022 at the age of 88.
She is survived by one sister, Ophelia Ann Summerville (JC); one brother, Everett Edgar Carroll; four daughters, Gloria Sue Scott, Catherine Jean Crowson (Gary), Belinda Gail Sullivan (Jerry), and Jarrett Elaine Hardcastle (Frank); one son Jimmy Ray Talley; 11 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and an extended family of nieces and nephews and “adopted-in-love” children and friends.
After working in the medical profession for over 54 years, Carolyn retired first from UAMS and then from St. Vincent’s in 2018 at the age of 84.
As the matriarch of this large family, she was loved and respected for her kindness and acceptance toward everyone.
