Marjorie Cole Jones, age 92, of Kingston, Tennessee passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. The daughter of Everett and Lela Luton Cole of White House, TN. She attended school at Cross Plains and was a 1949 Graduate of Greenbrier High School. Marjorie was employed by Pritchett Real Estate, Guaranty Mortgage Company, and Home Federal Savings and Loan Metropolitan Federal. She retired in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Hayden, Wilford and Huliamn "Rudy" Cole and sister, Laverne Cole Sutton.
Marjorie is survived by sister, Nancy Hooper (Hale Jr.); nephews: Phil (Jan) Sutton, Gary (Marlene) Cole, Mark Cole, and Hale Hooper III (Tina), Steven (Laurie) Hooper and granddaughter,Taylor Nicole Jones of Kingston, TN.
Marjorie was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church. Graveside services are pending at this time. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Wallis Jones and daughter, Donalyn at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Memorial Gardens, Nashville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4708 Papermill Drive NW, Knoxville, TN 37909.
