Eugenia "Gena" Diane Holland

Eugenia "Gena" Diane Holland, age 73, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away at home on Tuesday September 17, 2019 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Gena was born August 10, 1946 and spent most of her life living in various cities in Georgia, including 25 years in the Bavarian City of Helen. She had strong faith in the Lord and spent her early years in the Baptist Church before converting to Catholicism after marrying Richard. She loved shopping, crafting, watching her favorite shows on TV and playing Candy Crush and games galore on her tablet.

Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard T. Holland, Sr.; and sisters, Shirley, Patti and Darlene.

Gena is survived by her son, Richard "Ricky" T. Holland, Jr.; nieces, Lisa, Amy, Michelle, Shay and April; various other nieces and nephews; very special great-great-nephews, Bentley and Kaesyn; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Holland and Becky Wood; and brother, James.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life service on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 4:00pm at Fairview United Methodist Church, 2800 Fairview Street, Knoxville, Tennessee 37917. Anjeanette Thomas will officiate the service.
