Trent was born July 1, 1971, in Albion, MI. This joy was born to Glenda Faye Wilson and Phillip Johnson. Trent was an only child to his mother; but was a brother to Eric and Nicole Johnson on his father's side.
Trent was born and raised in Albion. He also resided in Big Rapids with his mother during her time at Ferris State University. As a young boy, Trent also resided in New York with his Aunt Barbara Jean and cousins, Meliane and Renee.
Trent was a part of a trio who affectionately called themselves brothers and sisters. Monte, Nikki and Trent. Trent was the largest but, was the baby of the three. He made many stories throughout his life and made many of his dreams come true. Trent had a host of elementary buddies thru high school who he laughed with and they enjoyed him as a true, real friend.
Trent had a love for sports at a young age. He took his love for sports very seriously. Trent played football, basketball, and baseball in high school earning varsity Letters. Trent graduated from Albion Senior High as a 1989 WILDCAT. He continued his education at Kellogg Community College and later decided to join the world of work.
Trent obtained numerous awards and recognition during his employment with several companies. He was previously employed by Albion College, Tenneco of Marshall, and MACI. Lastly, being employed with TAC. Trent was a hard worker. He knew the value of hard work and to work for what he wanted. Trent also believed in enjoying the fruits of his labor. His grandmother Lille Belle taught him well and he put her words into action.
Trent’s hobbies included watching sports, keeping track of player stats, gardening with his grandmother, and Carpentry. His ultimate hobby and his love was collecting rare Jordan’s.
Trent enjoyed spending time with his family. Being a Father was one of his greatest accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Woodrow Wilson, Sr. and Lillie Belle Wilson; Grandfather: Willis Johnson; Aunts: Dorothy Height, Karen Ware, Kat Johnson-Wallace and Shirley Wilson; Uncles: Kenny Johnson, and Joe Johnson; Close friends: Ricky Flores and Spencer Dees.
Trent’s life, memories are survived, cherished and loved by his Daughters: Tatiana Matson of Kalamazoo, Trinity Wilson, Taysia Wilson and Alyssa (Saylor) Alvarez of Albion, MI. Mother: Glenda Wilson of Albion, MI; Father: Phillip Johnson of Texas; Grandmother, Willie Mae Johnson of Albion, MI. Aunts: Barbara Jean Wilson of Syracuse, NY, Patricia Washington and Sue Wilson both of Albion, MI, Trudy Wilson of Lansing, MI, and Althea Johnson of Albion, MI; Uncles: Woodrow Wilson of Albion, Tony Wilson of Detroit, MI, Randy Wilson and Karl (Connie) Wilson both of Lansing, MI, Ferdinand (Tamara) Johnson of Albion, and Earnest Johnson of Texas;
The Duo of the Three Musketeers (named by our loving Grandmother Lillie Belle) : Monte (Tiffany) Wilson of Lansing, MI, Nikki Threlkeld of Rochester Hills, MI; Close Friends: Ramon Mirelas, Cris Powell, Chris Brown, Anthony Avant, Jesse Whetstone, Stacy Perkins, and Jeff Pratt; Special Cousins: Maurice, Renee, Illya, Ericka, Shay, Stormie, Tammy, Toni, Shann, Summer, Alexis, Rodney, Lamar, Tausha, Melody and Brandon. Very special pet: Jett.
Trent will be forever loved and greatly missed.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, April 6, 2018 from 1:00PM – 7:00PM at
J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 7 at 12:00PM at the funeral home with family
Hour starting at 11:00AM prior to the service with Pastor Steve Williams officiating.
Interment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion.
