Rosemary Brown age 91 of Coldwater, formerly of Marshall (Clarendon Twp resident for 40 plus years) passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Maple Lawn in Coldwater. She was born April 20, 1931 in Jackson the daughter of Graham and Elizabeth (Trubey) Jackson.
On September 2, 1950, Rosemary was united in marriage to Jonathan Brown and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1969. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael John and both her brothers, John Miller and Henry Lee Jackson.
Rosemary was a resident of Calhoun and Jackson Counties most of her life, having resided in Marshall from 2007 until her failing health required her moving to Maple Lawn in Coldwater where she received great care. She was a homemaker mostly but was employed for 11 years at Mechanical Products in Jackson.
Rosemary was a very loving, dedicated mom, grandma, great grandma and friend who had a great sense of humor and was known to be feisty at times. She enjoyed old country music, polka music, loved to play spoons and Bingo.
Rosemary leaves to cherish her memory daughters: Carline (Michael) Wolcott, Sabrina DeMott, son, Douglas Lee Brown, 3 grandchildren: Tracey (Dan) Crandall, Courtney (Jason) Goss, David Paul DeMott, 3 great grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob and Maegan Crandall, 1 great-great granddaughter, Paisley Rose Stepp, 2 sisters, Marion Craft and Elizabeth “Betty” Scott.
Services to celebrate Rosemary’s life will be held at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 with visitation beginning at 1pm until the time of her service at 2PM. She will be laid to rest in West Clarendon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
