An angel of the Lord came and carried the soul of Robert D. Holtz III, age 81, to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Robert was born in Albion on September 22, 1933 the son of Robert and Margaret Holtz, Jr. Bob was married to his wife Joyce (Kopp) Holtz on June 22, 1957 and she survives him.
He is also survived by 3 sons: Robert Holtz IV, Kevin Holtz, and Paul (Veronica) Holtz; 4 grandsons: Robert Holtz V, Dillon Holtz, Nick Holtz and Rusty Holtz; 3 granddaughters: Shannon (Joshua) Collins, Amber Munson and Brandy Holtz; 7 great grandchildren: Devin, Zachary, Carter, Gabriel, Shane, Arianna and Ayla Lou; Niece: Susan (Bernard) Zeitler, Nephews: James Tardis, Del (Linda) Sears, Steven (Elly) Sears and Mark Sears.
Bob graduated from Albion High School Class of 1952. He served our country in the Army during the Korean War stationed in Germany. He worked for Harvard Industries until his health forced an early retirement 29 years ago. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church since 1957 where services will be held.
Bob's family will celebrate his life on Thursday with a Memorial service at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 100 Luther Blvd, Albion with Pastor Dennis Matyas officating. Interment of ashes will take place at Clarence Center Cemetery.
