Birmingham, Alabama and Hudson Falls, New York before moving back to Jackson due to her father’s being transferred with his job at Commonwealth Associates as an electrical engineer. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1950, then worked in the General Accounting Department of Consumers Power Company in Jackson before getting married on December 28, 1954 in her parents’ home to Donald Reiman, also of Jackson.
She was a home maker, enjoyed oil painting, her family and friends, her cats and reading historical novels, watching sports on TV, listening to classical music and summers at the family cottage in the
Adirondacks in New York.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years (1988), an infant daughter Janis in 1958, her parents in 1994 and 2000, and a sister Marjorie Cooper in 1991.
She is survived by a son Mark (Christina) and granddaughter Tristan, a brother Thomas (Sue) Gagnon of Plantation, Florida, step-granddaughter Amythest Beverly, great-granddaughter Amelia Scott, and many cousins in NY and MA, nieces and nephews.
She was a 35 year cancer survivor (uterine in 1987).
Memorial donations may be made to Starr Commonwealth or Humane Society of S. Central Michigan.
Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 11am – 12:00pm at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion with Funeral Service starting at 12:00PM
with Pastor Al Henson officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
