Kip attended Tristate University after serving in the United States Navy where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He moved back to Michigan after school to start his career in manufacturing with McGraw Edison and Hayes Albion. Kip and his wife, Bonnie, went on to purchase their own restaurant, the Round Table, in Jonesville, Michigan that they ran for almost 20 years. After retirement, he spent a lot of time traveling and visiting family.
He is survived by his brother, Ray Hoag; sister, Sue Payne; sons, Qes (Trina) Hoag and Kal (Sheryl) Hoag; grandchildren, Alicia Hoag, Kal Coty Hoag, Tori (Tony) Stanley, and Carli Hoag; great-grandchildren, Aria, Baze, Xain, Mona, and Kashawn.
Kip is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Hoag and parents, Sheldon and Bessie (Keck) Hoag.
The family will be holding private services at a later date.
