Calvin Louis-Dapree Brewer III

Calvin grew up in Albion, Michigan where he graduated from Albion High School in 1995. Shortly after, he proudly joined the U.S. Air Force, serving his country with dedication for several years.

Upon completing his military service, Calvin began a career with the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, where he worked as an Information Technology Specialist, continuing his passion for helping others.

Calvin was also known for his discipline and commitment to fitness, regularly working out and ensuring he always looked his best, never missing a Thursday barber appointment.

Calvin was loved by everyone who crossed his path and he was known by his warm spirit, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Calvin never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel welcomed and loved. Calvin’s infectious personality and generosity will be missed by all who knew him.

Calvin leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness.

Calvin enjoyed spending quality time with his beloved family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancée, Bridget Lane Brewer; his children, LaTre Lane, JaQuai Lane, Kahlil (Asia) Brewer, Lizon Dorsey, Brison Brewer, Jahsy Brewer, and Donasia Brewer; grandkids, Trelyn Lane, Loyal Lane, and Jahlia Maedella Brewer; his loving parents, Calvin Jr. and Michelle Brewer; brothers, Larrese (Precious) Brewer, Darrell Dean, and Fletcher Dean, IV; a sister, Shameka Brewer; aunts, Carolyn (Tim) Kurtz, Sara Robinson, Sonja Thomas, Eddie Mae Brewer, and Shavondia Dean; uncles, Tyrone Dean, Lonnie (Carol) Brewer, Donnie (Yolanda) Brewer, and Tony Brewer; a special great uncle, Ocie Holloway, and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, especially, from his close knit crew, U.G.P. and the Garage Crew.

Calvin is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Sr. and Gertie Brewer and Charles and MaeDella Miles; his brother, Derrick Brewer; aunt, Nancy Brewer; uncles, Larrey Brewer, Fletcher Darnell Dean, Jr., Scotty Thomas, and Chachi Brewer; cousins, Takisha Moonie Holloway, Xavier Dean, and Alicia Denise Sewere.

A visitation for Calvin will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr, Albion, Michigan 49224. Services will be held the following day, Saturday, October 19, 2024. Family hour will begin at 11:00AM with the funeral service to follow at 12:00PM at Freeway Church, 28900 B-Drive N, Albion, MI 49224. Calvin will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.
