Betty Mae Winter

Betty Mae (Morey) Winter, age 85 of Albion passed away on April 23, 2022 at her home under the loving care of her family and hospice. She was born April 22, 1937 in Albion, an only child born to Lawrence and Celestia Mae (Berry) Morey and they preceded her in death. On May 3, 1953, she was united in marriage to Rev. Lee J. Winter at Marengo Church and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2012. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole Rodriquez in 2010.

Betty was a loving, devoted homemaker and Pastor’s wife who served as a youth leader for many years along with her husband. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking, canning, gardening (flowers and vegetables) and loved to visit plant nurseries. She was also a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who leaves behind 4 children: Ernest (Brenda) Winter, Lorie Magiera, Richard (Debra) Winter, Brenda (Richard) Rife, 14 grandchildren: Emily (Adam) Zdybek, DJ (Shelly) Salois, Johnathan Salois, Brendan Salois, Christopher (Ashley) Winter, Samantha (Mark) Cousino, Stacey (Jim) Sneed, Samantha (Chino) Zamudio, Dustin Wright, Angela (Gary) Kipker, Jessica (Tom) Kipker, Nicole Brown, Katrina (Billy) Kipker, Richard (Heather) Ransom and 23 great-grandchildren.

Betty’s family will celebrate her life on Thursday, April 28, 2022 with visitation at 1PM until the time of service at 2PM with Pastor Bill Pogue officiating at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr. Albion, MI. She will be laid to rest immediately following in Albion Memorial Gardens, Albion. For those who wish, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
