Betty Dean Murphy

Betty was born February 14, 1933. Her parents were Charles and Edith (Williams) Meserole. She married Robert Murphy, Sr. August 3, 1954 in Albion, IL and he preceded her in death December 11, 1992.

Betty worked at Johnnye Manufacturing in Albion, IL for several years. She belonged to the Apostolic Faith Assembly in Albion, IL. She lived what she professed. She was a good mother and friend.

She is survived by daughter; Linda Sue (Thomas) Bunting of Albion, IL, son; Bob (Patti) Murphy of Ellery, IL, 5 sisters; Charlene Hellmeyer of Albion, IL, Glenna Ruth (Ralph) Tottleben of Carterville, IL, Donna (Carl) Stevens of Calhoun, IL, Janice (Ira “”Hoppy”) Hopkins of Albion, IL, Sharon (Cebert “Butch”) Wilson of Sparta, TN, 4 grandsons; Curtis Bunting, Matthew Bunting, James Murphy, Joe (Brandi) Murphy and 5 “greats”; Josh, Allison and Chance Bunting and Madi and Lukas Murphy.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers; Ray, Jack and Bill, 2 sisters; Dorothy Fitzgerald and Phyllis Meserole.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:00am at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery in Albion. Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.

Memorials may be made to the Scranton Memorial Fund.
