Mildred Lillian Gibson

Mildred was born on September 20th 1929 in Kingston, West Virginia to the late William H. Duckworth and Lorraine (Logan) Duckworth. She and her Brother Jessie were born of this union.

On December 15th,1949, after a 2-year courtship, Mildred married the love of her life, Robert H. Gibson. To this union they were blessed with 6 children, Connie, Karen, Sharon, Robert II, Kenneth, Sherri, her Son, Arthur Lewis, Jr., and adopted Son Earl Boffman. She loved her family, Grandchildren and extended family.

She and her husband moved to Akron in 1951. She was a faithful member of First Apostolic Faith Church, and prior to this membership, she was a faithful member of Peoples Baptist Church.

In her 91 years she loved baking, cake decorating, entertaining, home making and was an immaculate housekeeper.

She is survived by her children, Connie Walker, Karen (Carl) Ingram, Robert (Lorraine) Gibson, Kenneth (Gwendolyn) Gibson, Sherri Pascal, 16 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren, Brother-n-law Walter Gibson and Sister-n-law Jacqueline Gibson. Extended children, Barry Brown, Torrie (Ken) Stokes, Adopted Sister, Ann Bushner, special friends Nedradine Hill, Dora Clark and a host of extended Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Lorraine Duckworth, her husband Robert, son Arthur Lewis, grandson Brian Walker, brothers Jessie Duckworth, Paul Duckworth, Clarence Duckworth, brother-in-law Eugene Gibson, sister-in-law Ernestine Ross, Margaret Davis and son-in-law Johnny Walker.
