Preceded in death are his parents, brother John and his grandson Michael Akers
He was born on September 24, 1929 in Birk, Romania, the son of the late Michael and Katharina (nee Dienesch) Menyes.
Mike worked for 45 years at Falls Lumber Co. and retired as Master Craftsman/Cabinet Maker in 2004.
Mike had two passions, fishing and most importantly his family.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, the former Emily Falkenstein, whom he married on October 26, 1957; his children, Michael (Kathy) Menyes, Kathy (Dave) DiBello, Richard Menyes (Sherri) and Diane (Tim) Akers; his six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be held at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W Market St, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 11:00AM to Noon. Mike's life will be celebrated by Pastor Gau immediately following the calling hours at Noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairlawn Lutheran Church, in Mike's memory.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rose Hill Funeral Home, Fairlawn, Ohio.
He will be buried at Rose Hill Burial Park.
