Lucille Gibson

Lucille Elaine Gibson passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, April 6, 2011. She and her twin sister, Louise, were born on April 26, 1922 to Roy and Ethel (Grant) Wilkins. Lucille was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family and friends telling stories and taking pictures. She loved the outdoors and taking care of her backyard animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert ”Chub”, to whom she was married for 62 years, and her sisters; Louise and Phyllis, and her brother, J.R. She is survived by her children; Jerry (Diane) Gibson, Linda (Mike) Preattle, and Norm (Chris) Gibson, grandchildren; Lucas, Brennan, Autumn and Jesse Gibson, Ryan, Alison and Shannon Poling, and Matt Preattle. She is also survived by her loving brother, Richard (Grant) Wilkins. Funeral services will be held at 12pm Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Catavolos Funeral Home, 3653 West Market St., Fairlawn, Ohio 44333. Family will receive friends from 10am until the time of service. The interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lucille’s name to Hospice of the Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, Ohio 44333.
