“We have this confidence that absent from the body is present with the Lord, Jesus Christ, my family and the children at Urban Vision meant the world to me. May you all stand firmly and live for Christ in all you do.”
Mom was an inspiration to everyone around her. She had a massive stroke 5 ½ years ago that caused her a tremendous amount of pain. You would never see her complain though. She would tell us that if this is the cross I have to bear, I will bear it if it means I can have an impact on others and lead them to Christ through my testimony. She bore her cross well. When she went to a nursing home, she would stroll around in her wheelchair witnessing to everyone in her hall. She brought so many of the residents to Christ. She would pray for everyone and was so passionate about praying for people in need. Her heart hurt for those who were not saved so she made it her mission to witness to as many people as she could. Jesus welcomed her home saying, “well done good and faithful servant.” I hope Heaven has a lot of fish sandwiches and nutty bars and I hope you are working with the animals and snuggling into the mane of a lion just as you wished.
