Jethro Stines, age 85, of Akron, Ohio passed away early on the morning of Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his residence. Jethro was born August 10, 1939 in Avery county, North Carolina to the late Floyd E. and Cleo E. (Ward) Stines.
Jethro was of the Baptist faith, and was a faithful man.
He is survived by his brother Melvin Stines; three step-sons, Brad Allison, James Allison, and Ralph Allison; three step-daughters, Carol Powers, Frances Newcomb, and Glenda Bryant; and special friend Roseanne Mobley; several grandchildren, and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Irene (Harmon) Stines and Gloria A. Stines. a sister Madeline, four brothers, Ed, Raymond, Dexter, James, and Bill; and his step daughter Paula Puryear.
