Jacklyn Marie Kautenberger

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie Marie Kautenberger, beloved friend and cousin who passed away peacefully at home on November 27th at the age of 66. Jackie was born on March 22, 1958 in Cuyahoga. Jackie is survived by aunt Suzanne Kautenburger, cousins Bill Perez, Debbie Kautenburger, Kevin Kautenburger, cousin-in-law Catherine Perez and 2nd cousins David Perez and Nicole Perez, Jennifer Perez Warren and Phil Warren, and 3rd cousins Olivia Kloss, and Kameron and Gabriela Perez, 2nd cousin Angela Kautenburger, cousin-in-law Richard Zaynor and 2nd cousin Miranda Zaynor, cousin-in-law Reinhild Boehme and 2nd cousin Sophie Kautenburger. She was preceded in death by her kind and loving mother Dorothy E. Kautenberger, and adoring father Jack R. Kautenberger.

Jackie graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s Degree in 198l, held an LSW and a LICDC-CS, was a member of Child and Family Leadership Exchange and received recognition from community members for her individual efforts in helping individuals achieve recovery success.

Jackie was fiercely loyal, talented, kind and generous. She made crocheted baby blankets, hats, scarves and Christmas stockings for her friends and staff at CHC. Jackie picked out beautiful gifts which would become lifelong treasured possessions. She adored her parents and took care of them until they died. She loved to cook and can, as her mother taught her, and continued to do so long after her mother passed. She loved to garden. Jackie was a ferocious reader and bought all of her books from the local bookstore to support her community’s small business. She would pass along her books to her friends and they would become your favorite books and authors. She had exquisitely beautiful taste and her possession reflected that and yet was humble and unassuming.

A memorial service to honor Jackie’s life will be held on Monday, December 16th, 9:30am at the Bailey Road Christian Church, 3200 Bailey Rd, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, followed by committal service and interment at Rose Hill Funeral and Burial Park, 3653 West Market St, Akron Ohio. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Jackie’s memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Community Health Center of Akron (CHC), or charity of choice in Jackie’s memory.
