Howard F. Scott, age 88, of Wadsworth, passed away October 13, 2011. He was the devoted husband for almost 48years of the late Nora (nee: Evans). A proud Army veteran receiving the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with 2 bronze Stars, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 bronze star, the good conduct medal and the WWII Victory medal. Howard was loyal retiree and of Firestone Rubber Company where he worked for over 45 years making “the best” tires. Howard enjoyed life, he loved everyone he met, and he especially enjoyed shopping and cheeseburgers.
Howard treasured his home and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Susie (Nee:Shrode), and his brother Lawrence “James” Scott. He leaves behind his daughters; Nancy and Donna (Dick-deceased) Miller, his granddaughters; Stacey Miller (fiancé Ron Brogan) and Ashley (Ryan) Leon. Howard will also be missed by his great grandchildren; Haley Miller and Maxwell Brogan, many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to all that cared for him particularly Dr. Haque, Dr. Diana Lisnevski, and Dr. Tan.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18th at 12noon at the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W. Market St. Fairlawn, where family will receive friends from 10am until time of services.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park… one final note that was one of Howard’s favorite sayings …”Yahoo Baby!”
