David was born June 23, 1932 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Eugene and Leota (Schwartz) Gorsline.
He retired from Saint Gobain Performance Plastics. David was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He enjoyed traveling, cruises, golf and rooting for all the Cleveland sports teams.
Besides his parents, David is preceded in death by his daughter Darlene, His beloved wife of 72 years, Barbara and his brother, James Gorsline.
He is survived by his son, David L. (Shirley) Gorsline, and his son-in-law Dale (Audrey) Walker, five grandchildren, Kelly (Joe), Brett (Kristina), Robert (Erin), Gregory, and Michael (Emily), numerous great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Marge Gorsline and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday 10AM-11AM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home and Burial Park, 3653 West Market St. in Akron. The funeral service will begin at 11AM Friday at the funeral home. Entombment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
