Barbara J. Taylor

She was born on September 16, 1930 in Hamilton, Indiana to Harold and Alice (Ridge) Newcomer. Barbara was a member of Northwest Ave Church of Christ. She loved to paint, sew, and crochet. Barbara enjoyed walking her little white poodle, Jake, around the neighborhood. She saw the world through the front window of her home in her later years. Barbara was known for her positive attitude, her infectious smile, and her warm hugs.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim, sister, Lois Johnson, brothers in law, Dave Hamilton and Reynold Johnson, and son-in-law, Tim Hirsch.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Liane Hirsch, Kathleen (Steve) Kubicza, Gary (Jody) Taylor, grandchildren, Bryon (Tracy) Hirsch, Julie (Chad) Blankenship, Sarah (Mat) Eash, Chris (Lisa) Hirsch, Garett Taylor, and Jessica (Sam) Mathews, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sister, Shirley Hamilton, and brother, Dale (Karen) Newcomer.

Friends and family may come to call from 3-4 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Northwest Ave Church of Christ, 737 Northwest Ave, Tallmadge, Ohio. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:00 p.m.
