She was born on January 10th, 1929 in Akron, Ohio. Ann married Guido "Joe" Gaone on May 14th, 1949 after having met him at their local roller rink. As they were raising a family she earned her Master's degree in Education. She taught Special Ed for many years in the Cuyahoga Falls City School District. She loved vacationing at the family cabin in Michigan, and their condo in Florida. She was instrumental in starting a handicapped/mentally challenged Cerebral Palsy program for young adults in Cuyahoga Falls and later moved it to the new Cerebral Palsy Center in Akron. She founded the Optimistic Mother's Club and Mothers of Cerebral Palsied Youngsters and Adults.
She was preceded in death by her husband Guido. She is survived by daughters Eileen Gaone of Tallmadge, Darleen (Steve) Cirino of Arizona, and son Joseph (Karen) Gaone of Cuyahoga Falls. Also surviving her are grandchildren: Amanda Harless of Akron, Jeffrey Kuelling of Cuyahoga Falls, Dr. Joseph (Tracey) Gaone II of Connecticut and Joshua Gaone of Cuyahoga Falls, and her cat Trouble.
Per Ann's request there will be no calling hours, only a private service with immediate family. Interment - Rose Hill Burial Park in Montrose.

Mom, there are not enough words to tell you how much gratitude we have for all that you have done for us. You were a remarkable wife, mother, and grandmother. You accomplished so much in the face of adversity, and will remain an incredible role model for us all. We will truly miss you and love you forever.
