Tom will be remembered for the love he had for his children Christine Van Dam, Steven Parker, Monica Galway and Margie Parker. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Anthony, Brett, Bradley, Careoline, Shaun, Blake, Parker and his great-grandson Theodore “Ted”. Tom will be missed by his partner and best friend Joan Young, his sister and wonderful nurse, Anne French, his sister-in-law and next-door neighbour Jane (late Doug Parker) and his nieces and nephews.
Tom was involved in Acton Minor Hockey for many years and was also a long-standing member of the Acton Legion; Branch 197. The best thing Tom ever did was retire from the MTO, take off his watch and get rid of his razor! Tom spent his retirement travelling across Canada making memories fishing and camping along the way. His home in Campbellville was his favourite place to spend time where he loved his Maple Trees and feeding his Chipmunks, birds and even Mrs. Skunk.
We will be having a “Tom Talk & Tell” at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 197, Main Hall. 15 Wright Ave. Acton, ON L7J 2T7 on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1PM -5PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society or to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Oncology Department.
