After her years in school and graduating from Phoenix College with an Associate Degree, she worked as a secretary at Arizona Public Service. During that time she married David Hall and in 1960 they moved to Roswell, New Mexico. It was in Roswell that this life as an Air Force family began. After the birth of a son and daughter and the first of Dave’s many deployments, the family moved to Abilene where Dave retired from the Air Force in 1977.
It was in 1975 that she began long time employment as secretary at Brookhollow Christian Church. After 26 happy years she retired in 2001. Then came volunteering at ARMC until 2019.
A long-time member of Elmwood West United Methodist Church, she served on various committees and was a faithful member on the Friendship Class.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, movies and plays and eating lunch every Thursday with the “Little Old Ladies” and most of all traveling to see her children and one and only grandson.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, David Franklin Hall. She is survived by her son, “mother’s favorite baby boy” David Dean Hall and his wife Sherry, and “beautiful girl” Darcy Delane Hall Simmons and her husband Ken and her “favorite” grandson, Austin David Simmons; brother Les (Barbara) of Durango, Colorado, sister in law Bernadette Bell (Paul) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Mary Reiddinger (LeRoy) of Gresham, Oregon; three nieces, four nephews and many cousins, neighbors and friends.
Cherish each day, smile and try to make others happy. Till we meet again……
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.elliott-hamil.com for the Hall family.
