Bertie Lee Webb

Bertie Lee Felton Webb, age 88 of Potosi, passed away July 29, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. with Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating. Burial will be in Potosi Cemetery under the care and direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.

Mrs. Webb was born December 8, 1925 in Big Spring, Texas to Algie and Phebie Felton. She had four brothers and six sisters; L.P. Felton of Merkel, Buster Felton of Potosi, Kenneth Felton of Weatherford, Jack Felton of Potosi, Edith Gammon of Tennessee, Betty Jo Brown of Florida, Dorothy Felton who passed away as an infant, Marie Vinson of Potosi, Ina Mae Newman of Blanket, TX, and Bessie Wilson of Potosi.

Bertie married Ottis Webb on May 25, 1943 in Potosi, where she and her husband farmed and ranched. She was a caregiver for Elizabeth and Bernice Fletcher; who owned one of the first cattle ranches in Taylor County. As well, Bertie worked for the Abilene State School. She was a member of Potosi Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, and two sisters.

Remaining behind to cherish her memory are her three children, Charles, Barbara Allen, and Edwin; grandchildren, Billy Allen of Abilene and LeAnn Dominguez of Junction; great-grandchildren, Johnathan and Sarabeth Allen of Abilene, Blake and Reanne Parker of Abilene, and Kayla Dominguez of Junction.

The family will accept friends on Saturday from 9:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. at the funeral home.
