Wayne was born on June 26, 1944. He grew up in Abbotsford, BC and spent most of his life there. He loved cars and working outside in his shop. You could always find Wayne working on a project. He was always there to lend a hand to friends and family whenever they needed it.
Wayne spent his early life as a welder, whether on the ships in Vancouver or working on RV’s. After that, he had a long career with Safeway, where he retired from in the early 2000s.
Later in life Wayne and Sandy moved from Abbotsford to Vancouver Island and settled in Nanaimo where they spent the past years enjoying retirement together with their dogs.
Wayne is predeceased by his parents, Louis & Elizabeth (Betty) Nicholas. He is survived by his wife Sandy, and his children Mark (Laura), Wade (Jodi) and Amber (Dean) along with his grandchildren Maddox, Kalen, Paxton, Hadley, Sofia, Riley and soon-to-be born grandbaby as well as his sister, Lucille and a brother, Dorwin
A memorial service for Wayne will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S1M1.
