Roderick MacDonald

MacDonald; Roderick A. May 15, 1920, Cranbrook, BC December 9, 2016, Abbotsford, BC. Rod is predeceased by his wife, Alice MacDonald and son-in-law, Peter Fraser. He is survived by his children, Patty (Jim) Michaud, Judy Fraser and Rod (Gail) MacDonald; grandchildren, Chantelle Bonjer, Tanya Bonjer, Cameron Fraser, Colin Fraser, Kevin Fraser, Sandy MacDonald, Kelly MacDonald, their spouses and children; and his long time friend, Shirley Foster. Rod was a resident of Abbotsford for 50 years, District Manager for the Province Newspaper in Fraser Valley, WW II Air Force Veteran and long time member of Hole in the Wall. Rod loved life to the fullest just as he enjoyed his family and friends. He was also a great athlete, avid skier, golfer, and sports enthusiast. We will miss him greatly. Thank you to all his family, friends and the staff at Bevan for all their love and support. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. Following the service friends are invited to join the family at the home of Jim and Patty Michaud, 32923 Alta Avenue, Abbotsford, BC, 1-604-853-6233, for a gathering.
