It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Brosseau (Bert), who passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at the age of 74. A long time resident of Mission, B.C, Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Born on September 5, 1950, Bert dedicated his life to his family and friends. He worked for many years both at Stave Lake Cedar and Teal Cedar Shake and Shingle mills. He was known for his hardworking attitude. Bert cherished his many years volunteering as a leader in the Mission scouting organization. In retirement, he found joy in traveling and spending time in the great outdoors. He spent countless hours camping, fishing, and enjoying time with friends in his walking club.
Bert is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, and their children: Don (Raven), Mike (Heather), Ron (Rachael), Johanna (Craig), and Kristina (Adam), brothers Ed (Ruth), Bob (Donna), Dennis (Margaret), brother-in-law Wim (Lynn) as well as nieces and nephews. Bert was a proud grandfather to sixteen wonderful grandchildren Ivan, Haily, Isabelle, Marianne, Aurora, Benjamin, Alexandra, Jessica, Autumn, Amber, Erica, Taylor, Lucas, Jacob, Zoey, Peyton.
Robert’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Hatzic Prairie Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or the BC Cancer Society.
Robert's legacy of love, hard work, and appreciation for life's simple joys will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
