Joan will be missed by son Trevor (Susan Morris), daughter Melanie (Arnold Arnason) and son Geoffrey (Lisa Haines), grandchildren Reid and Brynne Ziegler.
She married her sweetheart and together they raised their 3 children in multiple locations in Alberta before falling in love with British Columbia and making it their final home. Joan was blessed with a sharp mind for math and numbers and had multiple careers utilizing that gift. She enjoyed playing bridge and in later years tried her hand at curling and golf. Joan loved to get stamps in her passport and enjoyed multiple trips including Bahamas, Hawaii, Las Vegas and a cruise to Mexico. She had a passion for Canadian sports and there wasn't a hockey game that Joan wouldn't watch; especially if it involved her beloved Calgary Flames. She loved hot food, cold beer and walks around the lake.
Her final years were spent residing in the exceptional MSA Manor (Abbotsford) where she was comfortable and well cared for by the incredible staff.
Joan's wishes were to leave this world peacefully and calmly with little fanfare. Her wish was granted.
