I only learned today of your passing, and my heart is sad, but I know you are in Heaven, smiling. I will miss you, my friend.

I have many happy memories of Spider, the name he was known by at Communitas. He would stop by our office frequently to say hello and wish us a good day, and he always had a smile to go along with his kind words. My fondest memory of Spider was when he had an opportunity to help with writing a story for publication. He was so proud to be a part of that, he carried a copy of it  in his pocket and showed it to anyone who would be interested. His enthusiasm and pure joy at this accomplishment was contagious and it makes me happy every time I think of it. Thank you Spider for sharing your joyful spirit so freely, we will miss you!

I was so sorry to hear of Spyder's passing.   He has been such a faithful volunteer at MCC for many years.  I spoke with him a few weeks ago and was encouraged and cheered by his wonderful smile and his kind words.  I will miss him, as will many others.
My condolences to his family and his many friends.  Spyder had a great impact on many people.

It is with great sadness that I learned today of "Spider's" passing.  He loved his job at MCC and was so proud when he became the "poster child" for them and had his picture put up on the large sign on Sumas Way.  I remember him proudly showing me the keepsake of this that he had carefully folded and put in his pocket and proudly displayed it to everyone when he was at church.

Spider, you taught me that every day was a good day, helping others was of great importance to you and a kind word was just as important.  I will miss your smile at church and the stories you would share with me of your week.  My condolences to your family.

I am so sorry to hear that Spider passed away. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He was such a welcoming person at church and had such a generous spirit. He loved speaking to everyone and was willing to help out where needed. He will be missed. May he live in glory.

Spider my brother, it is BBQ day today and I already miss you. I keep looking at the door expecting you to walk in, and yet I know you won't arrive. Maybe you will hold a barbeque in heaven and celebrate the day as you celebrated life here at MCC. I love you my brother!

I have know spider for many years. He would meet me every Thursday night at the fence call my name and smile. He would say "Joanna" how ya doing my dear .I would say "how ya doing my dear. I will miss him so much .I took him home on dark rainy nights and take him to the bottle depot many times ..There is so much more to say but my memories are in my heart forever . We have lost a true person through his love of people.

I remember spider ( as i know him) from his work at the barbecues on thursday at mcc. Great guy, great smile always good conversation. He will be greatly missed. To his loved ones i am greatly sorry for ur loss but just remember he may be gone but never forgotten cause memories live forever.

Spider our star volunteer and friend at MCC BC homelessness prevention and outreach meal program. Your loyalty, devotion and service was unmatched. Your smile, humor and kind words will forever be cherished. I thank God for you and the joy of serving together. I will miss you.

I have known Spider for over 20 yrs. & lived within l/2 block of him on Bourquin.  Spider was always so cheerful & happy. He brought a lot of joy to so many people & was well loved. He will be missed by many.  Every day he walked by my place on his way somewhere.  When covid struck he sat out the front of his apt., or at the corner, waving at all who drove by & speaking to those walking.  

It seems strange to not see him sitting there or walking by.

He will be missed.
