This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed by his wife and best friend of 66 years, Edna (Loewen) and his children Rob (Wendy) Jack (Marcy) Dave (Ann) Janet ( Garry ).
Family was the pivotal essence of Henry’s life. He was proud and honoured to be the patriarch, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to our large family. He has been a major presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
He is a proud grandfather to Tristan, Melissa, Sara, Chantelle, Chris, Jennifer, Jonathan and Katie. He cherished the role of great-grandfather to his 14 great grandchildren.
Born in Manitoba and moved to B.C. as teenager, Henry spent his life as a hardworking, dedicated, faithful and loving man.
He had a long-standing relationship with God and was very blessed with his faith to his dying breath.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Ann Klassen and Elizabeth Robinson his many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank all the health care professionals and the wonderful staff at Mission Memorial Hospital who comforted and cared for him in his last days.
Henry will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us.
