Edna Minnie Hiebert Krahn

Edna Krahn passed into the presence of Jesus at age 90 on June 24, 2012. Born in Plum Coulee, Mb November 19, 1921. Beloved wife of 61 years to Andrew; mother to Jackie (Roger Chiasson - Edmonton), Darrell (Kathie - Mission) and Marcia (Stephen Steckler - Surrey); grandmother of Joel (Jen - Zach, Mason) Chiasson; Jared (Ami - Portia, Dov, Isla), Jeff (Catherine McAllan), Micah, Liesl, Arden, Jordana Krahn; Meghan, Matthew Steckler. Fraser Valley resident since 1986. Mom & Dad met at Briercrest Bible School and married in 1951. They worked together as owners of Macleods Store in Rainy River, ON and then Stonewall, MB 1964 - 1980. Mom was a strong and faithful follower of her Lord Jesus Christ and looked forward to reuniting with her parents and siblings that predeceased her. As a long-time supporter of Wycliffe Bible Translators/CANIL, she would be pleased that memorial donations be directed there in lieu of flowers. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1 from 7 – 9 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. A Memorial Service is planned for 1:30 pm Monday July 2nd at Immanuel Fellowship Baptist Church, 2950 Blue Jay Street, Abbotsford.
