Doug was born in Chilliwack, spending much of his childhood in the waters and woods of Cultus Lake. He took his first dip at 3 months old and was an avid swimmer by age 3. He spent endless hours exploring and building forts in the forest with his little brother, Devon.
Doug delighted in teching out gadgets & lights, working with wood and metal, and cutting-a-rugg with the best of them. He created uniquely beautiful arts & crafts, from surreal creatures to beautiful greeting cards, filled with his love.
When his son Zachary was born, he grew as an amazing father; patient, caring and fun.
Doug was a good friend to many, with his off the wall wit, his radiant personality, his gregarious nature and his kind heart. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and all those who were blessed enough to know him.
