David Alvin Leppky

David Alvin Leppky, 75, of Abbotsford, BC left us suddenly to be with Jesus on September 23, 2023. He was born July 19, 1948 in Steinbach Manitoba to parents John and Mary (Hiebert) Leppky. He was preceded in death in this same year by his loving wife Ruth of 50 years. He is survived by his children Mark (Vicki), Grace (Bruce) and Paul (Jodi). His siblings Marion (Burt) Hiebert, John (Joanne) Leppky, Marjorie (Danny) Rempel and Doug (Barb) Doerksen.

Dave met his wife Ruth Kirsch while attending Miller Bible Institute in 1968. They were married in Kelowna July 8, 1972 in a double wedding with her youngest sister Gloria. There he and Ruth raised their three children before moving to Abbotsford in 1988. Dave spent his working years providing for the family through the formation of Leppky Construction. One of the first projects was building the family home in Kelowna and this progressed into general contracting of commercial and agriculture projects. Dave had a curious mind and he would often be fervently on his computer researching a broad range of topics from financial markets to health remedies.

The family would like to thank everyone who has expressed their words of sympathy and offerings of support.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery (33965 Maclure Rd, Abbotsford, BC) beginning at 11:00am.
