Sunset Memory Gardens cemetery

The 68-acre Sunset Memory Gardens was established by the Stump family in 1957. Some of Parkersburg's more prominent personalities are interred here. Sunset Memorial Funeral Home was built on the cemetery property in 1997, giving area residents a convenient place to plan a funeral.

Mature trees with seasonal foliage, gently rolling hills, bright flowers and well-manicured green spaces are hallmarks of the property, which includes Three Crosses Mausoleum, a distinctive choice for those who seek above-ground burial. It stands as a stately stone tribute to those memorialized within. Family estates offer the reassurance of a central gathering place for future generations.

The cemetery's Veterans Wall of Honor pays homage to the men and woman who served our country. A memorial tree and plaque dedicated to first responders commemorate the service of those who keep our community safe.
