Dedicated To Families
Walking through the front doors of a funeral home can be difficult, but we are dedicated to making a difficult time a little easier by offering comforting surroundings and a shoulder to lean on. We understand that losing a loved one is an emotional experience, and we are committed to helping you in any way we can.
Our services include planning traditional funerals, cremations and celebrations of life. We’ll also arrange transportation of a loved one from a private residence, care home or hospital to the funeral home; help you complete forms; write an obituary and distribute it to any newspapers across Canada; and provide assistance with grave markers. Above all, however, we are here to help you create a meaningful and memorable tribute to your loved one.
Mourning Glory Funeral Services offers the services of Windsor Chapel, less than 6 kilometres away, just across the South Saskatchewan River, in North Park. We will also work with any other area church or reception hall of your choosing.
Windsor Chapel
Located at the corner of Windsor Street and 8th Avenue North, Windsor Chapel is a lovely space for funerals, weddings and other gatherings. With a chapel on the main level and a reception area on the lower level, it accommodates approximately 160 guests and includes a catering kitchen. The chapel has a digital piano and a projection system for video presentations. A private room at the back allows a family privacy at a funeral or a bridal party to take care of last-minute touch-ups. An elevator is available to take guests from the main level to the lower level, where a celebration might include custom decor, favorite food and drinks, and even live music.
Cremation services
We specialize in cremation services that honor loved ones in personalized ways, and families love our transparent pricing. With expertise in scattering ashes and a friendly team who pays attention to every detail, we provide service that is second to none.
More and more people are choosing cremation over traditional burial, but most aren’t familiar with the many options:
- a cremation without a funeral or memorial service of any kind.
- a funeral with your loved one present, followed by cremation.
- a cremation followed by a scattering, cemetery memorialization or celebration of life—or all three.
For those who wish for a more momentous memorial, Neptune Memorial Reef is an underwater cremation garden off the coast of Florida. A Celestis Memorial Spaceflight takes ashes into space for a little while or forever.
There are many options for cremation—and they're not all equal. Here's what you can expect when you choose us for your loved one's cremation:
- Custody of care guaranteed. Our custody-of-care program helps safeguard the identification of your loved one from the time we bring them into our care until the time we return them to your family. We check, cross-check and check again, every step of the way.
- Exclusive custody of your loved one. We use only crematories owned and operated by Dignity Memorial® providers or trusted partners. Once your loved one is in our custody or that of a trusted partner, they’re in our care until they’re returned to your family.
- Licensed, certified, conscientious staff. All Dignity Memorial crematory operators are licensed and certified by Cremation Association of North America, or CANA. Only one person at a time is cremated, and the cremation chamber is thoroughly cleaned before the next person is cremated.

Planning ahead
At Mourning Glory Funeral Services, we also recognize that funeral arrangements and associated expenses can be overwhelming. In addition to assisting during a time of immediate need, our funeral directors specialize in working with families to plan ahead. By preparing in advance, you provide a sense of relief, peace of mind and comfort for your loved ones while ensuring your wishes are met and your budget is maintained. We also offer a complimentary planning guide with no obligation.
As part of the Dignity Memorial® network, we offer a selection of unmatched services to families of all beliefs and backgrounds. They include the following and much more:
-
National transferability*. If you move more than 120 kilometres from where your original arrangements were made, your prearranged funeral services are transferable and will be honoured at any of the more than 1,900 Dignity Memorial providers throughout North America.
- Family protection plan. If you purchase cemetery property at a Dignity Memorial location and pass away before the property is paid for, any remaining balance will be waived.
- 100 percent guaranteed satisfaction. Our goal is to provide you with the absolute best service possible. If there’s something we can do better before, during or after a service, we want you to tell us.
*Certain restrictions apply.
