Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre has provided funeral, burial and cremation services to the Waterloo region since 1985. Throughout the years, our funeral home has maintained a commitment to tradition while responding to the changing needs of our community.

A spacious and gracious funeral home

Sitting area at Westmount Memorial Celebration CentreLocated on the corner of Westmount Road and Ottawa Street in Kitchener, our modern funeral home has a canopied front entrance and a dazzling foyer with a skylight surrounded by mirrors, a sparkling chandelier and an oak staircase. Accented with chandeliers and stained glass windows, the chapel seats more than 600. A large multipurpose room and modern kitchen allows families to host catered receptions.

Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre welcomes people of all faiths and cultural backgrounds. Some of our experienced funeral directors specialize in Jewish, Catholic or Buddhist funeral traditions, and our entire staff knows just how to create your vision or bring your loved one's final wishes to reality.

History

In 1985, James Hahn opened Westmount Funeral Chapel on the corner of Ottawa Street and Westmount Road in Kitchener. In 2014, a renovation and expansion of Westmount Funeral Chapel was completed, and Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel merged with Westmount. That's when the name was changed to Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre. Our sister chapel, Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, merged with Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre in 2015.

James began with a commitment to a high standard of service, and throughout our history we have provided thoughtful leadership and innovation while maintaining that same high standard. Everyone at our funeral home is proud to uphold that heritage, along with our commitment to the community. As a Dignity Memorial® provider, Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre is a member of the largest network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers in North America.
